Russell Jarvis

Call to Ministry

Thank you for your prayers and partnership in God’s movement at Calvary Church! On March 28, after months of prayerful discernment, discussion, and a thorough vetting process, our congregation voted unanimously to call Russell Jarvis as our new as Associate Pastor and Apprentice Lead Pastor.

First Steps

We are excited for Russell’s ministry at our church. In July, he will begin working through an intentional training and education plan under the guidance of our Senior Pastor Frank Termine, in preparation to become Calvary’s next Lead Pastor in 2024, God willing.

Funding

Increasing our budget to support two pastors during this transition period is a step of faith for a congregation of our size. Expenses total more than $200,000 over the next several years, but we fully believe that God is leading this and we have already begun to see his provision. In addition to the increased giving commitment by our congregation, we’ve also received commitments for over $80K in additional funding from outside of our congregation. However, we still have a gap of $54,000 remaining in needed support in order to bring Russell on staff by July 1, 2021.
