“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
Children ages Kindergarten through Grade 6 begin our Sunday Service with their families in the sanctuary. We want children to learn to worship God in song together with their family at an early age. The children are invited to Children’s Church usually after musical worship just prior to the sermon. They are escorted by their teachers to a classroom to be ministered to in a safe environment specifically designed to meet their spiritual and physical needs. Children in grades K-6 begin children’s church together as a large group, then split up into Primary Kids (Grades K-2) and Secondary Kids (Grades 3-6) for age-appropriate activities.
Children are cared for by loving, caring adults who are committed to building relationships and teaching God’s Word. All volunteers are trained in Child Protection Policies and sexual abuse, have passed a criminal background check, have completed an application, and have been regular attendees at Calvary Church for at least 6 months. Calvary Church uses The Gospel Project curriculum in an age-appropriate format for your children. The curriculum is fun and teaches the Gospel as revealed through all of scripture, and our teachers are dedicated and loving. Through prayer and commitment, we seek to assist families to help their children grow in Bible knowledge and Christlike character so they may reach their peak potential as disciples of Jesus Christ!
