Our Missionaries

“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember,I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Matthew 28:19,20

Our Missionaries

Calvary Church understands the responsibility we have as devoted followers of Jesus Christ. One way we live that out is through our support of domestic and foreign missionaries who have dedicated their lives to bring the gospel to all corners of the globe.

Pat Butler - Operation Mobilisation (OM)

Calvary Church has been supporting Pat, a past member of Calvary Church, as she ministers with GEM/OM (Greater Europe Mission/Operation Mobilization Arts International), training artists to reach artists with the Gospel of Christ, and through painting, writing, dancing, theater, and music making the Lord visible to the world. In addition, Pat finds time to write and publish books of poetry.

Hartford City Mission

A para-church organization seeking to reach unchurched youth in the North End of Hartford, sharing the Good News, developing disciples and transforming their community with God’s kingdom values.

Alberto and JoAnn Pagano - Central Missionary Clearinghouse

Alberto and JoAnn served the Lord in Chile and Central America for more than 20 years before returning to the USA where they are now church planting among Spanish-speaking people in Vinelands, and Blackwood NJ. They are currently discipling new Christians. Some of the many ways that they are doing this include: Teaching bible studies, leading special programs and retreats, pastoring the church, visitation and evangelism. JoAnn interprets for Alberto when interpretation is necessary.

Scott & Eunice Paulson - AIM AIR

Scott, in co-operation with JAARS, recruits, prepares, evaluates and trains mechanics and pilots for missionary air service in East Africa. Previously, they were missionaries for many years in Africa- where Scott was a pilot carrying missionaries to remote places.

Scott S

Scott is living in East Asia. He has completed two years of language study, learning the language of his adopted country. He is currently on contract with a University to teach English. He was also invited to incorporate his musical abilities into the English department. He currently leads a choir, and shares the Good News with the local people.

Roy & Helen Stover - African Inland Mission (AIM)

Roy and Helen serve in the Eldama Ravine area of Kenya where Roy pastors their local church. Together they manage a retreat center for missionary families and opened an orphanage and school for local children who could otherwise not attend school due to poverty.

Mark and Pat deQuoy - AWANA Missionaries

Mark and Pat have almost 70 years between them serving in AWANA! Today they serve western MA, CT, eastern NY, and VT as full time missionaries. Their goal is to reach as many children as possible with the gospel, through the ministry of AWANA.

Donnie and Jodi Bentley- Middle East

Donnie and Jodi serve Syrian refugees in the Middle East.  Donnie teaches English and distributes food to refugees of varying ages. While he is working on his Master’s Degree, his other duties include youth group leadership, tutoring, and helping with medical needs where possible. Jodi regularly holds bible studies with Syrian women.

John and Jenny Ames- Faith Community Church (Church Plant), Providence, RI

Although not officially missionaries of Calvary Church, we support the Ames’ church plant that they have established. While pastoring the church that they planted, they work with broken families, people with addictions, and work to mitigate the negative effects and violence of five different gangs within their community.
