Short Term Missions

“He told them: The harvest is abundant, but the workers are few. Therefore, pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.”

Luke 10:2

Calvary Church On Mission!

We are committed to at least one yearly missions trip.

Short-term mission trips are scheduled for our members and attendees with the intent to:

  • Help build the kingdom of God outside of our community
  • Give people a sense of and a heart for missionary-type work and missionaries
  • Provide a focused intense time of serving God in close communion with others for spiritual growth and/or renewal.

Highlights from some of our past trips

This church which is led by John and Jenny Ames is a blessing to that low socioeconomic community. The trip was so encouraging to the West End Community Church team. They are so thankful for brothers and sisters in Christ who cheer them in their ministry. We are also very encouraged to see God using John and Jenny Ames to change people’s lives in the name of Jesus Christ!

In 2014 our missions outreach was to disadvantaged children in NY.

2011 Mission Trip to Portland, ME to help refugees from the Sudan, West Africa. . In 2012 we returned to Portland, Maine on our mission outreach trip, especially to minister to Sudanese children.

In 2008 and 2009, we made trips to to assist the Akwesasne Mohawk Church of God in Hogansburg, NY to conduct a Vacation Bible School. This is one of that church’s best outreach’s in the entire year. This was a true cross-cultural experience as Christianity is a foreign concept to most of these people. We interacted with both children and their parents.
